Cornrows, Mohawk, Twists...Oh My!

Remember the styles I posted here. Well when I picked my daughter up from school Tuesday and the evidence of playing outside (i.e. dirt, leaves, mulch, etc) was all in her hair I knew it was time for wash day! So I shampooed, conditioned, detangled and blew it out to save time and make it easier to manage.
She always asks how I'm going to do her hair when I'm getting ready to style it and asked if she was getting braids or twists this time. So I said, let's do a little of both!

I used this pic as inspiration.
And although I couldn't see a full view of the front I knew I could make it work. The back was what I really like anyway. I knew I would have to do multiple ponytails in the front because her hair is just too thick for me to do anything fewer than 3 in the front.

This hairstyle didn't take too long, I only had to sit through one episode of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Sofia the First, and 1/2 episode of Doc McStuffins lol!
She really likes it and although I may have to retwist next week, this style should last two weeks.

Have you tried any of the styles on your little one yet???
