Cowash
I used Tresemme Naturals conditioner (not pictured) to detangle my hair while in the shower. I never detangle on dry hair and I always start from the ends of my hair and work my way up to the roots. After I rinsed the conditioner out, I used the Eden Bodyworks Cleansing Cowash to clean my scalp and then the Darcy Botanicals Pumpkin Seed Conditioner to add in more moisture as I showered. When doing my final rinse I always use the coolest water I can stand to close my cuticles and decrease frizz.
Moisturize
After my hair was about 75% dry, I applied some of the Oyin Hair Dew leave in conditioner and sealed that in with my shea butter mix. Today I decided to flat twist my hair to wear a twist out for the week. I used Eden Bodyworks Curl Defining Creme as my styler and since my hair was dry I added an extra layer of moisture with just a little Qhemet Biologics Amla and Olive Heavy Cream, concentrating mostly on my ends.
Style
The Amla and Olive Heavy Cream is heavy as the name states, so it's important not to use too much or your hair will be left feeling weighed down and greasy. Here are what my flat twist look like...
And I did this over my entire head and ended up with 14 flat twists and this took about 40 minutes to complete. I got finish at about 11am on Sunday and I won't take them down until the next day. But if you are in a rush and need to do your hair, you can always sit under the hair dryer. Just make sure your hair is 100% dry before you take them down or all of your hard work will be for nothing and you will end up a big curly fro with little definition. Not that a big curly fro is a bad thing, but it is when that was not the look you wanted. Also if you want the ends of your hair to be curlier, then simply add some curl rods to the ends of your twists while your hair is still damp.
It's the next day and here are my results from my twists! This style never fails me and always gives me great volume which I LOVE!
