Make-Up Vanity: REMIX

This is by far my faaaaavvvvvoooorite DIY project!  Well, honestly I haven't done many but it's still my favorite! I was looking for a make-up vanity for months and had no luck.  I looked at the modern vanity desks, but didn't like many of them because they did not have much storage.  So while enjoying one of my other hobbies, thrifting (don't worry, there will be plenty of thrifting posts, I love it!) I was on the hunt for a vanity that I could revamp to make it modern and my style.  I looked for a few months at different stores with not luck, until I ran across this beauty (sans the 80's lamp shade and griddle)!

 

Well, she wasn't that beautiful when I first saw her but it was the perfect size, had the perfect amount of storage and most importantly I had a vision of how I wanted it to look.  I was able to snag it for only $40 and couldn't wait to get it home to work my magic.  

So I browsed Sherwin Williams and decided on a paint color and went to my local Hobby Lobby and Lowes to find alternate knobs and handles.  I watched a few Youtube videos to get some inspiration on how I wanted to decorate it and did a little more shopping at Dollar Tree, Ross, and of course more thrift stores.  So after sanding it down, painting, and decorating it, this is the REMIX!

 

 

Yes, the chair and klennex box is another DIY project that I will talk about in another post.

* Vanity mirror- Ross

* Frame- Dollar Tree

* All vases, chair, and kleenex box- Goodwill

* Flower and Fabric (for chair)- Joann's 

* Rhinestones- Walmart

There are still a few little trinkets I want to get just for decoration and I also need a lamp.  Do you like it as much as I do?  I LOVE IT!
